Engineered with the same uncompromising quality as the entire FloFX line, the Tile-In Grate is CNC-milled from solid plate 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. It features a unique, screw-less drop-in design that rests perfectly inside the carrier. Installing the Tile-In Grate requires precision tile cutting to ensure the insert matches the surrounding layout perfectly.

1.Verify Assembly Compatibility:Requires a compatible drain body.

Confirm your shower pan utilizes a FloFX Universal or Traditional Drain Body. For third-party bond flanges (like Schluter or Profilitec), you must use the FloFX FFX Grate Install Kit.

2.Set the Grate Carrier:

Install the FloFX grate carrier into the drain body, ensuring it sits perfectly flush with the anticipated final height of your tile and thinset.

3.Insert the Temporary Install Plate:Crucial for protecting the final grate.

Place the included plastic temporary install plate into the carrier. This allows you to install your floor tile and apply grout without scratching or clogging the final grate tray.

4.Prepare the Tile Insert:Requires precision cutting.

Cut a piece of your floor tile to fit precisely inside the recess of the Tile-In Grate tray. Use a high-quality polyurethane adhesive (like Sikaflex) to bond the cut tile into the tray. Do not use thinset.

5.Drop in the Tile-In Grate:

Once the adhesive in the tray is cured and the shower floor is clean, remove the temporary install plate and simply drop the completed Tile-In grate into the carrier for a permanent fit.
