Spin Doctor Anti-Friction Shield Set includes 100 protective discs that complement the Spin Doctor tile leveling system. These clear shields rest above the tile to prevent the leveling cap from scratching or marking the surface when you tighten it. Because the discs are translucent, you can still see the grout joint and ensure your tiles stay flat.

Using the Spin Doctor System

  1. Place your tiles where you want them.
  2. Slide the threaded posts under the exposed tile edges, ensuring full contact with the tile surface.
  3. If you’re using shields, drop one onto each post so it sits on the tile.
  4. Screw the free-spinning cap onto the post and twist it down until the adjacent tiles are even.
  5. After the adhesive cures, knock off the caps and posts with a rubber mallet.
  6. Rinse the shields with warm water so you can reuse them on your next project.
