Laticrete Hydro Ban Liquid Waterproofing Membrane – 1 Gal is a single-component, self-curing liquid rubber polymer that forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing and crack isolation membrane without the need for fabric in the field, coves, or corners  . It contains Microban® antimicrobial protection and delivers Extra Heavy Service performance with anti-fracture protection up to 1/8″ (3 mm) over shrinkage and non-structural cracks  . The membrane cures quickly—changing from light sage to dark olive green to indicate readiness for tile installation—and allows flood testing in as little as 2 hours at 70 °F (21 °C) or higher  . Each 1 gal unit covers approximately 50 sq ft, making it ideal for small to medium projects such as shower pans, balconies, and terraces  . Installation Guidelines

1. Prepare Substrate: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and structurally sound.

2. Apply First Coat: Using a 3/16″ nap roller or trowel, apply membrane at 20 mils thickness.

3. Cure & Inspect: Wait for color change (light sage → dark green), then inspect coverage.

4. Apply Second Coat: Perpendicular to first coat; maintain uniform film thickness.

5. Flood Test: At ≥70 °F (21 °C), perform a flood test after 2 hours.
